A: Toners are used to add depth and tone into the hair. They can also be used to neutralise any unwanted underlying tones i.e. yellows, warm colours etc. A toner can be used on dark or light hair to give any tone or colour a client desires. Toners are not a permanent colour, so when they start to fade you can swap and change to give a different tone and different look to your hair.
